ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Albuquerque Police (APD) arrested a man back in August, who they say was drunk behind the wheel and attempted to run over the officers. The newly released video of the incident shows the tense moments officers faced during the entire interaction.

On August 2, APD went to a home near Juan Tabo and Lomas for a man saying his neighbor had damaged his windows and security camera. As officers talk to the man, his neighbor, 48-year-old Dustin Smith, pulls up in his truck and starts yelling at them.

Video shows officers trying to get Smith to get out of the truck, but he refused and cursed at the officers. He eventually speeds away.
