Patricia Jane “Pat” Foster, a mother of five who was a longtime greeter at The Andersons’ former Maumee store, died Sept. 11 at Majestic Care of Perrysburg. She was 90.
She died of vascular dementia, her daughter Nicole Swank said.
“She was a sweetheart of a lady, and I think she really enjoyed her job,” said Dan Anderson, retired president of the company’s retail group. “She could meet and greet people as well as anybody I ever saw.”
“And she was trustworthy and diligent,” he said. “She was there, never late, you know, always with a good attitude, no matter what was going on. She was really a fun person to work with.”
Mrs. Foster retired from The Andersons in 2015 after 28 years, at age 80.
