Howard University came out on top in the 100th edition of its historic rivalry with Hampton, defeating the Pirates 34–7 on Saturday at Audi Field in Washington, D.C. The win ended an eight-game losing streak to Hampton and reaffirmed Howard’s standing in the longest-running FCS HBCU rivalry.

From the opening kickoff, Howard set the tone. Just 77 seconds into the game, Travis Kearney broke through the middle for a 38-yard touchdown run, capping a four-play, 65-yard drive to give the Bison an early 7–0 lead.

Hampton briefly swung momentum its way by recovering a fumble and driving inside the red zone, but Howard’s defense held firm. A key interception by Kedrick Green ended the drive, and the Bison offense picked up where it left off.
