Norfolk State fought hard in the final minutes but came up just short, falling 31-28 to Sacred Heart after missing a potential game-tying field goal in the closing seconds.

Quarterback Otto Kuhns threw for 340 yards and one touchdown, while receivers J.J. Evans and Kam’ryn Thomas each gained over 110 yards receiving. Running back Kevon King added 72 yards and a touchdown on the ground, and X’Zavion Evans contributed 60 rushing yards along with two scores.

Defensively, Major Dillard led Norfolk State with 12 tackles, followed closely by Khalib Gilmore with 10 stops.
