LOGAN — A sloppy start only slowed down Utah State for a bit as it eventually cruised to a 48-7 victory over McNeese on Merlin Osen Field Saturday night. The Aggies now sit at 3-1, a record they've not achieved since the 2021 Mountain West championshp team.

Two first-half turnovers - a goal-line fumble and later an interception on a deep pass - along with 25 yards in first-half penalties kept the Aggies from blowing things open on the scoreboard. At least for a little while. By the end of the first half the score was 34-7, but the early mistakes took some marks off the report card.
