After four, long, wet, dreary months — it appears the spring sun is finally here to stay.
The Perth metropolitan area is set to enjoy a week of days where the maximum temperature will hover in the late 20s, including a top of 29C on Wednesday.
The last time the temperature reached higher than 29C in Perth was more than four months ago on May 9 (33.8C).
It is expected to be even hotter in the city’s eastern suburbs, with Midland set to reach 31C on Wednesday and Thursday and Ellenbrook 30C on Wednesday and Thursday.
Weather Bureau duty forecaster Catherine Schelfhout said it appeared the cold weather was finally behind us.
