INDIANAPOLIS - An investigation is underway after at least five people were injured in a shooting on Indy's northwest side Sunday morning.

According to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, just after 2 a.m., officers responded to the 6800 block of Shore Terrace on the report of a person shot.

When officers arrived on scene, they located at least five people with injuries with gunshot wounds. The severity of their injuries were not released.

Investigators said at least one person of interest was detained. No additional information was made available.
