Mayor Lisa Borowsky’s suggestion on the Axon issue echoes a 34-year-old Bill Murray movie:

Indeed, after Scottsdale City Council dodged – for the time being, at least – filing a lawsuit, former Councilman Bob Littlefield may be the last hope for wanting to stop Axon plans to build upwards of 2,000 apartments in North Scottsdale.
Or, for that matter, the last chance for those who just want city residents to decide on the matter.
Littlefield, husband of Councilwoman Kathy Littlefield, is skeptical – and then some – of Mayor Lisa Borowsky’s approach.
“Lisa is just trying to run out the clock,” Bob Littlefield said.
And the clock is ticking: A bill that rolls out the red carpet for Axon’s planned “international campus” is scheduled to become law Sept. 26.
