On November 21st, 2024, arrest warrants were issued for Prime Minister Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Gallant of the State of Israel by the International Criminal Court. These warrants were issued following an investigation of war crimes and crimes against humanity involving murder, persecution, starvation, and other inhumane acts during the Gaza War. They have yet to stand trial for these atrocities which have cost the lives of over 63,000 Palestinians.

The State of Israel is also being tried under the United Nations Genocide Convention in a case originally brought by the South African government, although a number of other nations have since joined the case.
