BLOOMINGTON — Indiana football quarterback Fernando Mendoza didn’t take a victory lap on Saturday night after a 63-10 win over Illinois.
Mendoza’s performance was certainly worthy of one — he threw for 267 yards (21 of 23) and five touchdowns without playing a single snap in the fourth quarter — but he was too busy critiquing the two throws he missed and talking about what he needs to improve ahead of a trip to Kinnick Stadium next weekend to celebrate his success.
