Week 4 of the college football season featured some notable rivalry games, including a few in the Big Ten .

The marquee game in the Big Ten featured two of the conference's ranked teams who have College Football Playoff aspirations: No. 8 Illinois at No. 17 Indiana . The Hoosiers made a statement at home against the Illini, as Fernando Mendoza threw for five touchdowns to lead Curt Cignetti's squad to a dominating 63-10 win.

Sticking with rivalry games, No. 5 Oregon beat former Pac-12 rival Oregon State 41-7 behind an explosive game from quarterback Dante Moore. The Ducks , who travel to Happy Valley next week to face Penn State for a top-five ranked matchup, held the Beavers to just 147 total yards of offense, 67 of which came on the ground.
