Security forces killed seven terrorists, including three Afghan nationals and two suicide bombers, during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in the Kulachi area of Dera Ismail Khan district on September 20.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the operation targeted fighters from the Indian-linked group Fitna al Khwarij. Troops “effectively engaged the location,” it said, adding that a sanitisation sweep was underway to clear any remaining militants.
Islamabad called on Afghanistan’s interim government to prevent the use of its territory for attacks against Pakistan, saying the military remained determined to eliminate what it described as Indian-sponsored terrorism from the country.
