A Queensland family have been left devastated after the body of a young Noosa man, who died in mysterious circumstances in Bali, was sent back to them without his heart.

Byron Haddow, 23, was found unconscious in a pool on the popular holiday island in May.

After suspicions into the FIFO worker’s cause of death were aired by his family, as well as the Indonesian authorities, a forensic autopsy was ordered.

Four weeks after his death, Byron’s grieving family finally had their son repatriated to Australia.

However, during a second autopsy, conducted in Queensland , it was discovered that Haddow was missing his heart, News.com.au reported.

His mother told the publication that her heart “literally dropped” when she was told.
