Disgraced former independent MP Gareth Ward has made headlines over the past decade as he “poured his heart” into work for his local community.
Now, the headlines tell a very different story.
Beginning his political career in 2011, Ward became a Liberal member for Kiama, and held the seat before moving to the crossbench in 2021 where he was later re-elected as an independent despite sexual assault allegations.
But that all came to a startling halt in August when he was convicted of sexually abusing two young men.
