Two teenagers have been charged after a police pursuit which started in Sydney’s west on Saturday.
The incident began when police attempted to pull over an allegedly stolen Citroen at Blacktown about 9pm on Saturday night.
The car sped away and was chased through multiple suburbs to James St, Leichhardt — half an hour away in Sydney’s inner west — where police will allege it crashed into a parked car. As police attempted to remove the driver, an officer discharged their firearm at the car while another used a Taser. A 27-year-old officer suffered a minor head injury when he was allegedly struck by the vehicle’s door. Police said late on Sunday he has been discharged from hospital.
The driver then allegedly escaped the dead-end street by crashing into two parked cars and ramming three
