If a good guy with a gun was the solution to gun violence, three police officers would have returned home to their families in York County. Instead, a man ambushed them, shooting five officers, three of them fatally, as they tried to serve a warrant in Spring Garden.
As a father raising my child in York County, my heart aches for the families in my hometown torn apart by another senseless shooting. Three armed good guys –Detective Mark Baker, Detective Sergeant Cody Becker and Detective Isaiah Emenheiser – are dead because of a bad guy with a gun.
How many more tragic examples must we see before this argument is put to rest?
