No one was hurt, but 3 abandoned houses were destroyed by fire early Sunday morning in Wilmington.

City fire crews were dispatched to the 500 block of East 4th Street around 12:30 a.m. after Wilmington's 911 Center got several calls about a building fire.

Firefighters arrived to find one house fully involved, and the other two also burning.

No one was inside any of the houses, but the one that had been engulfed in flames collapsed roughly 45 minutes after firefighters began to work to put the fire out.

A second house also partially collapsed before the fire was brought under control, which took about 2 hours.

All 3 houses are a total loss, and Wilmington's Fire Marshal's office is looking into what started the fire.
