SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) - On Thursday, Attorney General Marty Jackley announced that five people, including a now-former correctional officer and two current inmates, have been indicted.
Two individuals outside of the prison, Chandler Boone and Nancy Sage, were also charged.
Investigators said they worked together to sneak drugs, synthetic K2, and cell phones into the prison.
All five were indicted for Conspiracy to Distribute and Deliver Drugs.
The former officer, 22-year-old Carson DeYoung of Sioux Falls, faced additional felony charges for steroids and meth.
Meanwhile, Jackley said Boone mailed items to Sage in Sioux Falls.
