A large gathering is expected at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, to honor the life of Charlie Kirk, a conservative political activist who was killed nearly two weeks ago on a Utah university campus. More than 73,000 attendees are anticipated, with additional crowds expected at a nearby venue, Desert Diamond Arena.

Among the notable figures attending are U.S. President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance, both of whom will deliver speeches. Trump remarked, “We’re going to celebrate the life of a great man today. It will be a tough day.”

The memorial service, titled "Building a Legacy: Remembering Charlie Kirk," is scheduled to start at 2 p.m. EST. It will be streamed live on Turning Point's YouTube channel. Erika Kirk, the widow of Charlie Kirk, is also set to speak. She was recently appointed as the new CEO of Turning Point USA, the organization her late husband founded.

Other speakers include White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Secretary of Health Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth, and Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard. Donald Trump Jr., former FOX News host Tucker Carlson, and several other prominent figures from the MAGA movement will also address the crowd.

The event will feature performances by contemporary Christian artists such as Chris Tomlin, Brandon Lake, and Phil Wickham, along with musical acts by Lee Greenwood and Steve Amerson. Attendees have been encouraged to dress in “Sunday Best – Red, White or Blue.”

Many attendees began arriving as early as 8 a.m., filling the stadium and participating in live Christian music performances. Due to the high-profile nature of the event, security measures are heightened. Attendees have been advised to expect long wait times and a strict no-bag policy.

The Department of Homeland Security has classified the event as a Level Special Event Assessment Rating, the highest designation reserved for major events like the Super Bowl. A memo from DHS, the FBI, the Secret Service, and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives indicated that the agencies are monitoring several threats of unknown credibility against Trump, Vance, and the Kirk family.

Charlie Kirk was fatally shot while speaking outside at Utah Valley University on September 10. Tyler Robinson, a 22-year-old suspect, has been charged with murder. While a clear motive has not been established, charging documents suggest that Robinson expressed frustration over Kirk's views in text messages with his partner.
