BRISTOL, Va. (WJHL) — A dog that suffered burns and smoke inhalation during a house fire in Bristol, Virginia, on Saturday night was revived by firefighters on scene.

A release from Bristol, Virginia, Fire Chief Mike Armstrong said the house fire took place at approximately 9:30 p.m. Saturday on Clark Street. According to the release, responders arrived to visible smoke showing from the two-story home.

Crews located the fire on the lower level of the home and found one room that sustained heavy fire damage, along with significant smoke damage throughout the entire structure.

"A mutual-aid request immediately went out to Bristol, Tennessee Fire-Rescue for assistance," the release states. "Crews went to work stretching hose lines into the house to control the fire."
