VISALIA, Calif. -- Visalia Police arrested a teen and his older brother after responding to a reported robbery in progress at Yogurtland inside the Visalia Mall late Saturday night.

Officers were called to the business at 11:19 p.m. after witnesses reported two suspects taking cash from the register.

When officers got to the mall, they quickly located a vehicle and detained 19-year-old Arturo Calderon.

A short time later, officers found a 16-year-old boy nearby who tried to run away.

Police recovered $985 in cash from the teen, which was returned to the business.

Investigators say the 16-year-old reached into his waistband during the robbery, leading employees to believe he might be armed.

He was arrested and booked for robbery and resisting arrest.
