POLK COUNTY, Fla. (WCTV) - Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier announced 230 people were arrested in a major human trafficking operation.

That announcement was made Friday morning in Polk County.

The arrests were the result of a seven-day sting operation called “Fool Around and Find Out - Again.”

The operation, led by the Polk County Sheriff’s Office, used social media and escort-hiring platforms to contact the suspects.

The suspects are facing numerous charges, including soliciting prostitutes, offering to commit prostitution and transporting prostitutes.

In total the operation led to 111 felony traveling to commit prostitution charges, 20 felony aiding/abetting, transporting, deriving proceeds from prostitutes charges, and 99 misdemeanor soliciting prostitution charges.
