The Longhorns fell two spots to No. 10 in the latest Associated Press Top 25 after they clobbered Sam Houston State 55-0, and while that sounds counterintuitive, the Sooners had a much more impressive victory over Auburn. Oklahoma shot into the top 10 at No. 7, which led to the Longhorns falling. Florida State also dropped a spot after a 66-190 win over Kent State.
It's a double whammy of sorts for Longhorns fans since an idle Texas A&M team moved up a spot to No. 9, one slot above Texas.
