ZIONSVILLE, Ind. — A group of Hoosiers gathered at Mulberry Fields in Zionsville on Sunday to remember slain conservative activist Charlie Kirk.
Kirk was shot and killed during a speaking engagement at Utah Valley University on Sept. 10. Law enforcement arrested Kirk's suspected killer, 22-year-old Tyler Robinson, on Sept. 11.
Officials in Utah will seek the death penalty during their prosecution of Robinson's case.
In the days that have followed Kirk's death, tributes honoring him have popped up across the U.S. In Indiana, there have been numerous vigils held in memoriam of Kirk.
At Ball State University, a group of students held an event in remembrance of Kirk on Sept. 11. Similar events were held at Monument Circle in downtown Indianapolis and at Indiana University's campus in Bloom
