WEST BATON ROUGE PARISH, La. (WAFB) - On Saturday night around 9, a boating accident took place near Morley Marina. The West Baton Rouge Fire Department tells us it happened on the Intracoastal Waterway in a secluded area. A man and a woman were badly hurt after hitting an object in their boat.

Ashley Prejean and Heather Leonard were both there when the first responders were called out. They both sprang into action and figured out how they could help. The Morley Marina owner even took their rental boat out, bringing with them medics, police, and two nurses who happened to be at the marina too for the fishing tournament happening this weekend.
