Auburn hung around all game, but the Tigers didn’t have the answers to pull off what would have been a marquee road win on Saturday.

The Tigers’ defense kept Auburn in the game all day long, but a late touchdown surrendered plus a rough offensive display and special teams issues saw Auburn come up short against the Sooners.

Auburn grabbed a 17-16 lead in the fourth quarter thanks to a Malcolm Simmons 4-yard touchdown run, but after playing well all game long, Auburn’s defense let Oklahoma march down the field and reclaim the lead late via a John Mateer touchdown run.
