Despite frustrating start to SEC play, Hugh Freeze hasn’t lost the locker room

Saturday’s loss to Oklahoma gave Auburn fans every reason to be frustrated.

The Tigers lost by just one score to a top 15 team on the road, and the game easily could have gone differently.

Whether it was an untimely penalty, near miss on a big play or a controversial call that didn’t go Auburn’s way, there were numerous occasions on which the result could have been altered in the Tigers’ favor.

Despite all of that, there was a sense of confidence within the team after the game.

In the opening statement of his postgame news conference, head coach Hugh Freeze said the team proved it can play with the talented teams in the SEC.
