A man accused of breaking into a West Hollywood apartment and killing a resident’s dog earlier this month has been arrested, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department confirmed Sunday.

Anmol Bhatia was taken into custody around 7 p.m. near Wilshire Boulevard and Elm Drive, according to LASD. Officials have not yet released details about how deputies located him or what led to the arrest.

The investigation began on the night of Sept. 4, when deputies responded to a burglary call on the 1200 block of North Harper Avenue. The resident told deputies that someone had broken in and that his dog, left alone while he was away, was dead.
