FORT WAYNE, Ind. (21Alive) - We are welcoming in the first day of fall today with some showers and cooler temperatures.

Highs this afternoon will max out in the low-to-mid 70s, and it will feel a bit muggy despite the cooler temps. An isolated shower chance remains during the morning before more widespread rain rolls in by the afternoon. By dinnertime, it will slowly dry out and become mainly cloudy for the remainder of the night as lows will bottom out in the low 60s.

Outside the shot for a stray shower, Tuesday appears mainly dry. Then, a low-pressure system will pivot towards our region bringing on-and-off showers Wednesday – early Friday. This is some well needed rainfall, especially for farmers who haven’t gotten a lot of rain for their crops.
