A popular health snack has been pulled from supermarket shelves after pieces of metal were discovered inside.
ALDI launched a nationwide recall of Made Real Wholefood Balls on Monday, with Food Standards Australia New Zealand (FSANZ) issuing the alert.
The regulator said the recall was due to “the potential presence of foreign matter” — metal, warning it could cause illness or injury if consumed.
The snacks have been available for sale in ALDI Stores across NSW, ACT, VIC, QLD, SA and WA.
“Consumers should not eat this product,” FSANZ said.
Shoppers are advised to return the products to the place of purchase for a full refund.
FSANZ also suggested any consumers concerned about their health to seek medical advice.
