For the second time, a Waterford recycling business faces losing township approval for its site.

In July, the township ordered Bell Site Development, 5100 Hudson Road, to stop recycling concrete, asphalt and soil. The 22-acre site is located in the Drayton Plains area, just west of Dixie Highway, north of one residential neighborhood and not far from a second cluster of homes to the southeast, across the railroad tracks.

Michael Ries, Bell’s owner, told The Oakland Press he expects to delay the public hearing after talking to his attorney on Thursday, but either way, he believes the site plan meets township standards.
