Three? Would've been OK. Four? Probably fine. But five ? In the end, five turnovers were simply too many for the Patriots to withstand vs. the Steelers on Sunday.
Believe it or not, even with that gaudy number of giveaways, the Patriots still had a chance to tie it at the end. How? They held Pittsburgh to 4.1 yards per play and just 203 yards total, while picking up 369 yards of offense themselves. They won the time-of-possession battle by almost seven minutes, and they converted on four of five fourth-down snaps.

But they gave the ball away time and again -- and in key moments -- to fall to 1-2 on the season.
