Here is a look at the individuals in the running to be voted the LSJ high school boys athlete of the week.

Jadon Bender, DeWitt football

The senior helped the Panthers to a 38-28 victory over Galloway Westland (Ohio) on the road on Sept. 19. Bender sealed the win by returning an onside kick 50 yards for a touchdown with just under 1:30 to play. Bender also had a 26-yard touchdown reception and an interception in the win for DeWitt, which improved to 4-0.

Carter Haremski, Okemos soccer

The junior had three goals last week while helping the Wolves to key CAAC Blue victories over DeWitt and Grand Ledge. Haremski had a goal on Sept. 16 in
