New Delhi, Sept 22: Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the redeveloped Mata Tripura Sundari temple in Udaipur, Tripura, on September 22.
This significant temple, a Shakti Peetha built in 1501, underwent redevelopment under the PRASHAD scheme at a cost exceeding Rs 54 crore, with contributions from both the Central and Tripura state governments. PM Modi’s visit included a roadshow attended by thousands and a puja at the temple.
The temple, which attracts over 12 lakh visitors annually, is expected to see an increase in daily arrivals post-redevelopment. The project aims to enhance the area’s tourism potential and provide economic benefits to local communities.
