A police incident saw a Derby car park cordoned off at the weekend. Residents reported at around 7am on Saturday, September 20, that officers had closed off Abbey Street Car Park, close to the city centre.

A spokesperson for Derbyshire police confirmed that officers had been called to reports of an assault on a teenage girl in Abbey Street. No further detail has been released as investigations into the incident are still ongoing.
