An argument between a couple working at an east side McDonald's on Sept. 20 escalated into an officer-involved shooting after a man allegedly reached for his firearm during a struggle with Indianapolis police. No one was injured in the shooting.
The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department arrested the man on Sept. 21 and preliminarily charged him with one count of attempted murder, criminal recklessness, firearm possession by a serious felon, battery against a public servant, resisting law enforcement and intimidation with a deadly weapon. IndyStar is not naming the man because they were not formally charged at the time of publication.
