BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (WTNH) -- Four men have been federally charged in an August 2023 kidnapping and carjacking in Bridgeport.

According to the indictment, Samuel "Sosa" Branch, 27, Giovanni Hudson, 34, Dontae Scullark, 22, and William Hinton, 22, allegedly conspired to kidnap a victim.

During the evening of Aug. 2, 2023, and the morning of August 3, 2023, the four men were together in an SUV and watched the victim as he drove to a restaurant on Boston Avenue, parked his Mercedes-Benz, and entered. Hudson allegedly had a handgun and an extended magazine, entered the back seat of the Mercedes-Benz, and waited for the victim, court documents said.
