TOLEDO, Ohio — Ten Great Danes were surrendered from a west Toledo home after one of them bit a person while roaming the area Saturday, police said in a report.

Toledo police were called to the 4000 block of Alexis Road around 12:25 p.m. after the caller said four Great Danes were on the loose, one of which attacked him and bit him in the leg.

Police followed the dogs back to their home located in the 3700 block of Wrenwood. Officers made contact with the homeowner and the Dog Warden was called to the scene. According to the report, the owner then surrendered 10 Great Danes - three adults and seven puppies, according to Toledo police. In total, there were 13 dogs in the home.
