Former Appalachian State head coach and current UCF offensive line coach Shawn Clark died Sunday (September 21) at the age of 50, UCF Athletics announced in a news release on Monday (September 22).

Clark died at an Orlando hospital where he was initially admitted last Tuesday (September 9) after suffering a medical emergency. The veteran coach was reported to be in stable condition before dying "unexpectedly" Sunday night.
