NEW viewing platforms are reshaping how tourists experience the Great Ocean Road, with major milestones reached at the Twelve Apostles and Loch Ard Gorge.

Victorian Minister for Tourism, Sport and Major Events Steve Dimopoulos said the Twelve Apostles Visitor Experience Centre would be “a massive boost for local tourism along the Great Ocean Road while also supporting more than 90 jobs during construction”.

“The topping out of the centre is a major milestone in this project,” Mr Dimopoulos said.

The $126 million redevelopment, part of the Geelong City Deal, will include a visitor centre, welcome garden, rooftop garden and new lookouts, with completion due late next year.
