STORRS, CT (WFSB) - The UConn Huskies picked up a home victory on Saturday defeating the Ball State Cardinals 31-25.

The UConn big play offense was a big key to getting the win .

The Huskies grabbed a 10-0 lead in the first quarter as the ever-popular Joe-Fagnano-to-Skyler-Bell combo clicked on a fourth and goal. Bell had 14 catches for 113 yards.

The Huskies held the lead throughout the game. However, Ball State stayed close, only trailing 17-10 going to the fourth quarter.

That’s when UConn tailback Cam Edwards took over. He’s known for breaking big runs. One involved a 32-yard touchdown run to make it 24-10.

After Ball State got back to within 7, Edwards broke off a 64 yarder for his second touchdown of the day, setting a career high of 194 yards rushing.
