The town's 250th Fourth of July celebrations kicked off with a flourish Friday evening, Sept. 19, as an overflow gathered at the George Hail Free Library to listen to an "A List" cast of speakers, view some of the new historic exhibits composed specific for the occasion, listen to the anthem written as a soundtrack for the 10-month long remembrance and partake in some, well, cake to cap off the night.

Hail Library Director Chris Matos and Warren 250th Committee member Sarah Weed led the festivities, offering introductory remarks before giving the floor over to a "who's who" of state and local politicians invited to attend the opening.

Town Council President Joseph DePasquale began the oration, putting special emphasis on the Native Americans who lived on the land called War
