The Mt. Hope High School girls' volleyball team entered the new week winners of its first seven matches to start the 2025 season. The Division II Huskies beat a combination of teams within their league and some from D-I during the impressive run of results.

Seventh-year head coach Lisa Lunney, while saying she never assumes anything, said she did know her squad had the potential to be very good heading into the year. Though winning every match to date wasn't necessarily in the cards, the thought of losing doesn't either enter her mind or that of her players.

"I just tell the girls to believe. I think I know what we're capable of. I just need to know that we're all going to show up and do our jobs and do them well," said Lunney. "But I never expect to lose. I never go into a
