LAGRANGE, Ga. (WRBL) — Three teenagers are at the center of Monday's soft lockdown at Callaway High School and Gardner Newman Middle School.

According to the LaGrange Police Department, three arrest warrants were executed at Callaway High School early Monday afternoon, concluding an investigation that had been going on for more than two months.

The LaGrange Police Department confirmed to WRBL News 3 that the execution of the arrest warrants were the reason for the soft lockdown at both Troup County schools. Authorities say during the operation, one of the suspects attempted to escape through an exterior classroom door, but was captured several minutes later hiding in the woods.
