Michigan State football knows its next game time.
The Spartans ' Oct. 4 game at Nebraska will be a 4 p.m. kickoff on FS1, the Big Ten and its television partners announced Monday, Sept. 22.
It's the second mid-afternoon start of the 2025 season for the Spartans , who previously hosted FCS-level Youngstown State in a 3:30 p.m. start in East Lansing on Sept. 13.
MSU (3-1, 0-1 Big Ten) and the Cornhuskers (3-1, 0-1) both have byes this week coming off their first losses of the season. The Spartans lost 45-31 at USC late Saturday , while Nebraska fell at home to Michigan earlier that day, 30-27.
The Cornhuskers are in their third season under coach Matt Rhule and feature sophomore Dylan Raiola – the son of former Detroit Lions offensive lineman Dominic Raiola – at quarterback.
