LUFKIN, Texas (KETK) -- The City of Lufkin has named Larissa-Philpot-Brown the new director of Economic Development on Monday.

Philpot-Brown has 22 years of experience in economic development and has most recently served as CEO and president of the Nacogdoches Economic Development Corporation. She also holds a bachelor's and master's degree from Stephen F. Austin State University.

“Larissa's extensive experience in business development and municipal services and her knowledge of our region make her an excellent addition to the city of Lufkin,” Lufkin City Manager Kevin Gee said. "She brings a collaborative spirit and a results-driven approach to economic development. We look forward to the positive impact she will have on our programs and initiatives.”
