MONTROSE, Colo. (KREX) - A man was struck by a vehicle in a hit-and-run crash over the weekend in Montrose, according to Colorado State Patrol.

The incident occurred around 5 p.m., Sunday at 6400 and Fruita Park Roads. The pedestrian was transported to the hospital. The man is well-known in the community as he can be seen walking on the highway, carrying a wooden cross on wheels.
