A pedestrian was seriously injured in a hit-and-run collision in Hartford on Sunday.
Emergency crews responded to reports of the crash in the area of Wethersfield Avenue and Wyllys Street just before 7:30 p.m. and found one person suffering from injuries, according to the Hartford Fire Department .
Fire officials said the pedestrian suffered serious injuries after being hit by a vehicle. The victim received medical attention at the scene and was taken in an ambulance to a hospital. Their condition was not immediately clear.
According to fire officials, the driver who was involved took off before crews arrived at the scene.
The incident remains under investigation by the Hartford Police Department .
