WASHINGTON — The Howard football team was named the Team of the Week as awarded by STATS Perform in its HBCU National Weekly awards.
The Bison are coming off a 34-7 victory over Hampton in the annual Truth and Service Classic at Audi Field, for bragging rights in The Battle of the Real HU. It was the 100th meeting between the two teams, in front of a crowd of 18,672 fans from both schools.
Howard's offense put up a season-high 456 yards, including a career-high 113 rushing yards and two touchdowns from sophomore running back Travis Kerney. Quarterback Tyriq Starks completed 12 of 15 passes for 165 yards and ran a 15-yard touchdown in the second quarter.
Sophomore tight end KD Mosley and redshirt freshman running back Billy Roberson II added touchdowns as well.
Redshirt junior Kedrick
