NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) — An infrastructure project will shut down the northbound side of State Street in New Haven starting Tuesday, Sept. 23, the city announced.
The northbound side of State Street will be closed between Chapel Street and Audubon Street due to this project.
The southbound side of State Street will be converted to two-way traffic.
New striping and traffic signals will be installed and activated overnight.
Southbound traffic on State Street will be directed to Orange Street and Olive Street for Monday and Tuesday night only.
The city said all access to adjacent properties and cross streets will not be affected.
The ongoing detour currently in place between Fair Street and Chapel Street on the northbound side of State Street will remain active without changes.
